Product Features
Exceptional Sealing Performance: Excellent plasticity allows for reliable initial sealing. Under bolt preload, the material flows plastically to fill micro-imperfections on flange surfaces.
Outstanding Temperature Resistance: Operates reliably within a wide range of -200°C to +250°C, with the ability to withstand even higher temperatures for short durations, making it a common choice for medium to high-temperature sealing applications.
Excellent Electrical and Thermal Conductivity: Copper's conductivity is second only to silver, enabling its use in joints requiring both sealing and electrical conduction or heat dissipation.
Superior Corrosion Resistance: Highly resistant to atmospheric conditions, fresh water, steam, non-oxidizing acids, and oils, making it ideal for water pipes, steam lines, and oil systems.
Non-Magnetic: Serves as an ideal anti-magnetic sealing component for precision instruments, medical equipment, electromagnetic devices, and other environments sensitive to magnetic fields.
High Precision and Consistency: Produced with precision stamping dies, ensuring high dimensional accuracy, strong interchangeability, and suitability for automated batch assembly.
Cost-Effectiveness: The stamping process offers high production efficiency and material utilization, resulting in low per-unit costs and outstanding value.
II. Primary Applications Leveraging its excellent plasticity, high-temperature resistance, thermal/electrical conductivity, and corrosion resistance, copper gaskets are widely used in industrial applications involving high temperature and pressure, conductive sealing, or non-magnetic environments. They are critical sealing components in the power, energy, chemical, transportation, and general machinery sectors. III. Composition and Structure
Material Composition:
Base Material: Industrial pure copper, commonly using Chinese grades T2, T3, and TP1. With high copper content (≥99.9%) and minimal impurities, it ensures excellent plasticity, conductivity, and corrosion resistance.
Material State:
Soft State (M): Annealed, very soft, offers good plasticity, easy to seal, and is the most commonly used.
Hard State (Y): Non-annealed, provides slightly higher strength and hardness with better resilience, but requires greater clamping force for sealing.
Geometric Structure: Primarily manufactured through stamping, copper gaskets come in various structural forms:
Flat Gasket: The most basic form, a simple flat ring produced via blanking in a single operation.
Serrated Gasket: Features concentric serrated ribs on one or both sides. During sealing, the rib tips create extremely high specific pressure for superior sealing, classified as a "blanking + forming" component.
Corrugated Gasket: Has a wavy shape, providing a degree of elastic compensation.
Special-Shaped Gasket: Customized according to flange shape, such as oval, square, or with holes.
Basic Structural Elements: Regardless of shape, the structure includes three basic dimensions: inner diameter, outer diameter, thickness, and the sealing surface (the surface contacting the flange).
